Witch Doctor Solo Inferno Build – Circle of Life – Patch 1.0.8

This would be the second Diablo 3 Build that we pickup from Anthony. His previous infinite zombie bears build has became very popular but it seems that the YouTuber gets bored easily and came up with a new Witch Doctor Build for some fun and efficient Inferno farming. Called Fire Bats Circle Of Life, the setup aims to provide a viable alternative that offers tons of DPS and an almost infinite mana pool with the aid of some gear optimization and proper skill usage.

The main damage dealer will be the Firebats skill and combined with the Cloud of Bats skill it will be capable of insane DPS but there is a price to pay that will be explained after having a look at the setup.

Left Mouse Button – Locust Swarm with the Pestilence rune
Right Mouse Button – Firebats with the Cloud of Bats rune

Action Key 1 – Grasp of the Dead with the Death Is Life rune
Action Key 2 – Soul Harvest with the Vengeful Spirit rune
Action Key 3 – Spirit Walk with the Honored Guest rune
Action Key 4 – Sacrifice with the Pride rune

Passive Skill 1: Gruesome Feast
Passive Skill 2: Circle of Life
Passive Skill 3: Grave Injustice

The Mechanics Of The Build:

Anthony used a smart choice of skills to build a strong Witch Doctor build that is viable for Inferno. Due to the nature of the setup, the build shows its true potential when Firebats is used. Due to the rune choice, the Witch Doctor needs to be within melee range to make sure that the enemies are caught in the range of the swirling cloud of bats.

The proper way to do it is to run around and gather decent clusters or packs of mobs together, slow them with Grasp of the Dead and channel Firebats. Once dead, the enemies have a 30% chance to summon a Zombie Dog due to the Circle of Life passive. Additionally, Grasp of the Dead has a 10% chance to summon one as well. In theory, getting a pack of 10 monsters would guarantee at least one zombie dog.
Next, we have the Sacrifice skill with the pride rune.

No summoning spell would be required since there already is a passive and an active skill that can raise a Zombie Dog at a frequent rate. When mana is low, Sacrifice can be used to gain some of it back but it might not be enough. Since the build is advertised as an infinite mana setup, Spirit Walk needs to be included. The Honored Guest rune will ensure that 15% of the manapool will be replenished for each second while the player has Spirit Walk active. The rest of the skills are rather self explanatory but there is one more than needs to be discussed.

Gruesome Feast is one of the skills that are rarely used by Witch Doctors. Even if the 10% mana restore bonus and the 10% extra intelligence are quite significant, due to the scarcity of health globes, the bonus cannot be maintained or stacked. Due to the Death is Life rune, the utility of the skill becomes obvious. More orbs will spawn and thus the bonus can be stacked to 50% extra intelligence and 50% mana restored quite easily. On the downside, gear will also play an important part. A bit of gold might be needed to be spent on some survivability items.

Witch Doctor Solo Inferno Build – Speed Doctor

It has been a while since we looked at a Witch Doctor Inferno build. To make things right for the fans of the class, we found the Speed Doctor to be a very fun and viable build for Inferno farming in a speedy manner.

We are talking about decent damage bursts and fast movement speed and decent damage bursts. This Witch Doctor Inferno build is excellent for farming for gear or grinding for experience for that Paragon Level. Even an average of 100k DPS or lower is enough to make Inferno seem like a joke. The only thing that needs to be mentioned that such a low DPS makes it viable only for MP1. Even so, let us not forget that MP1 has higher bonuses than no MP at all.

Now, let’s look at the skills and their key mapping:

Left Mouse Button – Acid Cloud with the Acid Rain rune
Right Mouse Button – Zombie Charger with the Zombie Bears rune

Action Key 1 – Horrify
with the Stalker rune
Action Key 2 – Gargantuan with the Restless Giant rune
Action Key 3 – Soul Harvest with the Soul to Waste rune
Action Key 4 – Spirit Walk with the Jaunt rune

Passive Skill 1: Gruesome Feast
Passive Skill 2: Grave Justice
Passive Skill 3: Spirit Vessel

Diablo 3 Witch Doctor Solo Inferno Build – Speed Doctor

The Mechanics Of The Build:

The key element of this Witch Doctor Inferno build is movement speed. Since the cap limit is 24%, this should be the goal and it can only be obtained with the help of some gear pieces. For rare items, only the boots can roll movement speed and it can be 12% max. For the remaining 12% we need some legendary items such as the Lacuni Prowlers. Now that we have enough speed, the farming routing needs to be looked at. To achieve the maximum exp per hour, Alkaizer’s route is probably the best way to go at it.

In terms of skill rotation, Acid Rain will be the main damage dealer when dealing with normal monsters. Acid Rain is the primary choice for these mobs due to is high range. For bosses and elite packs, Zombie Bears are a better choice in order to save mana for extended fights. Now that the pets have been buffed as of Patch 1.0.5, Gargantuan will prove to be a very faithful and useful companion. He can deal great amounts of damage versus elites and clear some trash without bothering the player. With just enough survivability, using Alkaizer’s route can net an average 60 million exp per hour. Since death means a lot of time wasted, getting at least 500 to all resists is a must. Armor should not be neglected as well and in order to achieve a decent value, getting an enchantress will grant a small bonus. Apart from these two stats, vitality is also nice to have.

A bigger health pool means more survivability. At least 35k is required in order to avoid unnecessary deaths. With the right kind of gear, this Witch Doctor Inferno build makes Paragon farming a genuine walk in the park.
